For imported equipment, the question is worth raising at the time of purchase or hire: what conformity documentation does the equipment have, and for what use? A supplier should be able to answer this question.
The marking concerns the product; it says nothing about the operating conditions at a given event, which are the responsibility of the organiser, the venue and the supplier. The two subjects are distinct and are dealt with separately.
The European regulatory framework for machinery and for systems incorporating artificial intelligence is evolving: the exact obligations depend on the product, its use and the date it was placed on the market. They should be checked with the manufacturer and, if in doubt, with a specialist adviser; this glossary is no substitute for that.
