Service robot
A service robot is a mobile robot designed for a specific practical task in a public or professional environment: carrying trays, cleaning floors, directing visitors, patrolling a site. It usually moves on wheels and favours reliability over expressiveness.

This is the most mature category on the market: these machines work every day in restaurants, hotels, retail and logistics, with measurable returns on investment. Hire prices observed at events are around €250 to €950 excl. VAT per day.
At an event, a service robot performs a function (handing out a flyer, guiding people to a stand) but does not draw a crowd. The difference from a humanoid is not a question of range: they are two distinct jobs, one operational, the other media-driven.
