Trade show
A trade show is an event where companies from the same sector present their offering to a professional audience, over a few days, in an exhibition centre. It is a format with high fixed costs, where performance depends on the number of qualified contacts brought back.

An exhibitor's budget is split between floor space, stand construction, logistics, staff and entertainment. The first three items are committed whatever happens: it is the last two that determine whether the stand is busy or empty.
In France, the major trade shows are concentrated in Paris (Porte de Versailles, Paris Nord Villepinte, Palais des Congrès), with significant regional hubs in Lyon (Eurexpo), Marseille (Parc Chanot), Lille (Grand Palais) and Toulouse (MEETT).
The practical constraint for robot entertainment is the build-up schedule: installation takes place before the halls open, in a slot set by the organiser, and requires an exhibitor badge and access through the delivery doors.
