Photo booth
A photo booth is an installation at an event where participants take photos of themselves, usually against a backdrop in the brand's colours, with the image sent to them instantly. It is one of the few formats that produce both a keepsake and a contact.

Its marketing value lies not in the photo but in what comes with it: sending it by email or text message creates a consented point of data collection, at a moment when the participant is willing to share their details. This collection remains subject to the GDPR: clear information, an explicit purpose, a legal basis.
The format runs out of steam when the backdrop is ordinary. What revives participation is the element you do not get to pose with every day: that is what makes a robot attraction a complement to a classic photo booth.
